OUR MATERIALS
Our goal is to find the most earth-friendly materials to rejuvenate our planet.
SUSTAINABILITY
The compostable films we source are biodegradable with either a home or industrial compostability rating. Everything we use is PFAS-Free and will break down into water and carbon dioxide with the help of microorganisms.
COMPOSITION
Our compostable films are made from a combination of cassava, wood pulp and beetroot. Our zippers and degassing valves are made from dent corn.
PERFORMANCE
Pouches made from these materials can perform well with many applications, but are ideal for dry foods and powders (items you could throw into an organic compost pile). The film is heat-sealable for use in many production processes.
DURABILITY
The shelf life of our materials is comparable to other alternative flexible packaging offerings assuming they are stored in a dry, room-temperature environment. If you are uncertain, we recommend testing with your product to determine if it fits your shelf life needs.
